It makes sense to hold your next conference or congress in Aalborg, North Jutland. Aalborg is one of Denmark’s most accessible cities, whether by plane, car, train or bus, and a multi-faceted university city that makes you feel at home right away.
Here everything is within easy reach - easy to get to your hotel, congress facility, art venue, eatery, music site or whatever else that takes your fancy.
What is more, Aalborg is a conference city with a conscience. Also dubbed Green Conference City Aalborg, this place is mindfully aware about fulfilling present needs without endangering the needs of generations to come.
Organisers of conferences and congresses with a sustainable facet are guided towards the city’s environmental initiatives that live up to the above definition, and Green Conference City Aalborg also intends to inspire conference guests to experience and use the city’s eco-friendly eateries, green areas, etc. full on.
As for latest developments, Aalborg’s recently restored waterfront includes the intriguing Nordkraft, a former power station transformed into a culture centre with café, theatre, cinema, performance venue and restaurant, as well as the impressive Utzon Center, famous Danish architect Jørn Utzon’s last work. Utzon described the center as “a place where good thoughts could come together and… a centre of excellence for architecture and humanity in the future” – and it is a beautiful building with exhibition spaces, a workshop for students of architecture and design, the Utzon Library and Archive, a café and restaurant – and basically the perfect setting for just about any type of event. And if you need modern, flexible congress facilities, there is always the Aalborg Congress and Culture Centre with its state-of-the-art facilities and 40 different venues, handling events with anything from 2 to 2400 participants and the capacity to feed 3000 guests at the same time. There are 1500 hotel beds available within walking distance, and Danish Meetovators at hand to help you design a successful conference or congress with a high return on your meetings investment.
