Whether it is the general upturn in the Meetings Industry and/or a knock- on effect from the prestigious COP15 UN Climate Conference held in Copenhagen in December 2009, one thing is certain: 
Copenhagen has experienced an impressive growth in the number of leads won by the city in the last 12 months.


The 50% increase in the no. of international leads won by Copenhagen in the 1st half of 2011 (compared to the same period in 2010) is believed to be partly driven by the increased knowledge and marketing of Copenhagen and Denmark as a highly attractive business tourism destination following the succesful handling of COP15, partly by the increase of capacity in Copenhagen. 


Within the past decade, the number of hotel rooms in Copenhagen has risen by 50% and during the next two years another 600+ rooms will be added, bringing the total number of hotel rooms offered in the Danish capital to over 19,000. This development has also fuelled demand and made it easier for Meeting Planners to book the right venues at the right time!
