They did it again.
noma. No capital “N” in noma, but perhaps capital “F” for “First choice for Foodies to visit”? For the 2nd consecutive year, restaurant noma in Copenhagen has been listed “No.1 Best Restaurant in the World” on the S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants list
published by the esteemed Restaurant Magazine.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. Only a few weeks ago, the French Michelin Guide handed out 11 stars to 10 Danish chefs cooking up new ideas in their respective
Copenhagen kitchens - more stars than any other city in Scandinavia – as well as an impressive 12 “Bib-Gourmands” to another fine range of “good value-for-money” restaurants in the Copenhagen area.
A short time ago, Rasmus Kofoed, head chef of organic restaurant
Geranium II, also received international recognition, when he was named “the World's Best Chef” at the 2011 Bocuse d'Or, considered the world championship for professional chefs.

On the whole, Danish cuisine has changed radically over the past decade blending foreign influences with the richness of Denmark's own natural produce; its excellent dairy produce, its high quality, organic fruit and vegetables and, of course, the raw ingredients from its surrounding waters. The result? A “
new Nordic Cuisine” that in recent years has become recognised and received rave reviews by top food writers, gourmets and gourmands from around the world.
Delicious Denmark – at your next meeting… We all know how meals can be potential highlights of any kind of meeting. In fact, a superb meal might change the whole atmosphere of an event. So, when arranging business event in Denmark, wouldn’t is be obvious to include a truly authentic food experience with distinctive local flavours too?

Naturally, business travellers and delegates visiting the Danish capital can indulge in the New Nordic Cuisine at various popular restaurant venues in town. Add to this, however, places such as
Meyers’ Madhus on Nørrebro, where groups of up to 40 people can get a taste of Denmark and create their own four-course meals in professionally run teambuilding sessions, headed by legendary Danish chef
Claus Meyers’ skilful team of cordon bleus. In addition, local agencies such as
Ovation Denmark (part of the MCI-group) offer exclusive incentive packages including food tastings, baking classes and five-course meals at Michelin-starred restaurants. And to top it all off, at the
Radisson Blu Hotels in Denmark all meeting packages now include a recently developed Nordic Brain-Food Menu. The menu is based on in-depth research by Danish brain scientists and chefs verifying how food affects the way the mind works and is an organic brain food concept intended to make participants stay energized and focused throughout discussions, speed up decision-making and increase delegates’ energy-levels and sense of well-being.
