Copenhagen Shopping
Fashion designers such as Malene Birger and Munthe Plus Simonsen have made Copenhagen a world fashion capital and a world shopping capital. Of course, you’ll also find incredible home design offerings, plus jewelry, antiques and a lively flea market culture. Wallets ready? Let’s go!

Vesterbro
Want hip? This former working-class district is one of the hippest areas of Copenhagen today—especially Istedgade with its up-and-coming designer shops and ateliers. You’ll also find vintage clothing, especially on the side streets.
FrederiksbergCity within the city In the beautiful residential area of Frederiksberg, streets such as Værnedamsvej and Gl. Kongevej are now home to boutiques selling vintage clothing, designer originals and fancy foods, plus casual cafés and restaurants.
Østerbro Local color If you want to feel like a local, head to Østerbro, an unpretentious neighborhood that happens to be home to some excellent one-of-a-kind shops. You’ll find critical mass on Dag Hammarskjölds Allé, Nordre Frihavnsgade and Østerbrogade.
Christianshavn A quiet corner Canals and old, unusual buildings make Christianshavn one of Copenhagen’s more charming districts. Take time to explore the small, interesting stores dotting the side streets and the earthy offerings in Freetown Christiania.
Nørrebro
International influence You never know what you’ll discover in multicultural Nørrebro, with its ethnic grocery stores and restaurants and its eclectic shops. This is prime territory for hip fashion as well as jewelry, antiques and all things exotic.
City Center Cruise the Miracle Mile At 1.1 km long it’s not quite a mile, but who’s counting? Strøget, in the city center, is the world’s longest, oldest pedestrian shopping street. Big name shops line the way. Tiny streets alongside hold secrets and surprises.
