Denmark has a large number of bicycle shops with own repair facilities which can often take care of whatever repairs are needed on a wheelchair.

Rules and regulations which apply to wheelchairs:

When driving on the pavement, electric wheelchairs must proceed at a speed equivalent to that of walking, viz. up to 6 km per hour. When driving at a higher speed, wheelchairs are considered equal to bicycles and are subject to the same conditions which apply to those, viz. no driving on the pavement, cycle paths must be used when available, when no cycle paths are available, the wheelchair must use the driving lane instead. The rules regarding lighting for bicycles apply to wheelchairs too.
