Europe's most bike-friendly nation

With a network of national cycle routes spanning 4,770 kilometers and a strong cycling culture come rain or shine, Denmark is Europe’s most bike-friendly nation. We were delighted to host the start of the world’s most prestigious cycling race in 2022. The Tour de France Grand Départ rolled through some of Denmark’s most historic cities, beautiful landscapes and past breathtaking architecture.

Stage 1

Voted World's Best Cycling City in 2019, Copenhagen was the first stop on the route, showcasing Amalienborg Castle, the Little Mermaid, parks, waterfront scenes and more.

Stage 2
